Jordan Goldman, 8, Madison Garbin, 11, and Ian Ybarra, 10, watch the fireworks show last year from the water in Port O'Connor.

Will the city host a fireworks show this year? If so, can you provide details about the show, including the lineup of music?

Yes. The Victoria Parks and Recreation Department and Hartman Distributing have teamed up to offer the annual Miller Lite Blastoff, featuring Reckless Kelly and special guest Jeremy Halliburton.

The fun begins with the free concert starting at 6 p.m. in the Victoria Mall parking lot. The much-anticipated spectacular fireworks display begins at 9:30 p.m. and will feature nearly 1,500 fireworks blasts lighting up the sky. The fireworks show, professionally coordinated by Zambelli Fireworks, a Pennsylvania-based pyrotechnics company, will last about 20-22 minutes. The show will feature falling tracers, beautiful shapes and patterns, and a lot of high-volume explosion shells.

The fireworks will be launched from Ethel Lee Tracy Park, which will be closed during the program.

Spectators may watch the show from the Victoria Mall parking lot, which has also partnered to provide parking space for vendors and entertainment.

In case of inclement weather, the alternate date for the fireworks show is Thursday.
