Fourth of July holiday schedule for governmental offices and other services in the Victoria area includes:

GARBAGE SCHEDULE

Automated garbage, limb and yard waste collection as well as the landfill and compost facility will have normal hours of operation. Curbside recycling routes will run as normal.

TEXAS ZOO

The zoo will be open regular business hours.

CITY AND COUNTY OFFICES

City of Victoria non-emergency city offices, Victoria City-County Health Department, Victoria County offices and Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission will be closed Wednesday. Victoria Transit will run normal hours. City, county and state emergency services will continue to operate.

MUSEUMS

The Children's Discovery Museum, McNamara Museum, Museum of the Coastal Bend and Nave Museum are closed Wednesday.

LIBRARIES

The Victoria Public Library and the Victoria College/University of Houston-Victoria Library will be closed Wednesday.

STATE OFFICES

Department of Public Safety driver's license office, Texas Department of Human Services, Workforce Solutions-Golden Crescent, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and University of Texas Medical Branch Women's Services Clinic will be closed Wednesday.

U.S. POSTAL SERVICE

The post offices will be closed Wednesday.

FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS

First Convenience Bank will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday; Capitol One, American Bank, Wells Fargo, IBC Bank, Bank of America, Prosperity, Trust Texas, New First National and First Victoria will be closed on Wednesday.

SCHOOLS

All public and private schools will be closed Wednesday.

Victoria College and University of Houston-Victoria will be closed Wednesday.

VICTORIA ADVOCATE

Advocate offices will be closed Wednesday. A customer service representative will be available by phone only from 6-10 a.m. Contact the newsroom with news tips at 361-574-1222.
