Advocate Star Students: Faith and Andrew Barton

Faith and Andrew Barton, of the Immaculate Heart Catholic Home School, competed at the 2012 Private Schools Interscholastic Association State Academic Meet in Fort Worth on May 5.  Andrew, a fifth-grader, placed first in spelling making 100 percent on his test.  He also placed third in math.  Faith, an eighth-grader, placed fourth in dictionary skills.

• Grades: Faith is in eighth grade; Andrew is in fifth grade

• Siblings proved excellence runs in the family during the 2012 Private Schools Interscholastic Association State Academic Meet in Fort Worth. Faith came away from the May competition with a fourth-place medal in dictionary skills. Her brother placed first in spelling, scoring 100 percent on the test. He also placed third in math. The family lives in Victoria.
