Palacios hosts 2nd Annual Texas Hold'em Series Fundraiser

Poker in Palacios returns with the Second Annual Texas Hold'em Series Fundraiser sponsored by the Palacios Chamber of Commerce.
The activity kicks off at 11 a.m. Saturday with a seafood lunch, followed by a live auction at Palacios Recreation Center, 2401 Perryman Drive.
Poker in Palacios features the Texas Hold'em Main Event plus side games of hi-lo, black jack, and new this year, gourd, crab and shrimp dice.
For $25, people will receive the seafood lunch and can play in the various side games. Bags of 20 chips may be purchased for $5 to be used for side game play. Auction items will include a fire pit, Yeti cooler, guided fishing tours and a fish fry package. A chance to win five guns and rifles will also be available. The main event begins at 1 p.m. and concludes with a final table of eight, where every player is a winner. Grand prize is a $2,500 cash value card and a champion's sterling silver bracelet.
Second place winner also receives a cash value prize, plus a designer belt buckle.
Main event tickets are $100 and include lunch, a seat at the game, drink tickets and a T-shirt. Additional buy-ins will be allowed."Last year's event was a lot of fun for everyone," said Leland Singer, event chair. "We look forward to hosting players and spectators from around the Gulf Coast region for the second annual Poker in Palacios."
