Union Pacific Railroad to Improve SH 60 Crossing in Bay City

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) announces the Union Pacific Railroad will improve the railroad crossing on SH 60 in Bay City next week. The crossing is scheduled for closure on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, from 8am thru 5pm, according to Union Pacific Railroad Project Coordinator Herman Manrriquez.
“The Union Pacific Railroad is in charge of this project,” said Marla Jasek, P.E., Director of Transportation Operations Yoakum District Office, referring to the brief closure. “They will also provide on-site traffic control. I encourage motorists to drive carefully and follow the railroad’s detour signs.”
Union Pacific Railroad is recommending motorists use FM 2668 to avoid the crossing on SH 60 next Tuesday. For more information, contact Hermann Manrriquez, Union Pacific’s Railroad Project Coordinator, at (775) 838-3433.
