Danny Garcia has qualifications to hold office

Editor, the Advocate:

I'm 78 years old and have lived in Precinct 1 all my life. I have been actively involved in my community, from serving on committees to serving on the water board. I've seen my share of commissioners, some good, some not so good.

Danny Garcia has all the qualifications and expertise to be a good commissioner.

The commissioner of this day and age has to be, not just familiar with, but knowledgeable and experienced with what's being managed, such as budgets, managing personnel, road construction and drainage. If you aren't knowledgeable of what you're managing, how will you know it's being done correctly?

We are fortunate to have someone with Danny Garcia's credentials and expertise running for this position.

A good commissioner is one that can take care of business downtown for us, but also has time to visit with the road crews and understands what is taking place. It's important that he is visible and accessible to us.

He has to be willing to listen to our concerns and address them.

Mr. Gabriel Solis and Mr. Chris Rivera, two other candidates originally on the ballot have endorsed Danny, as Mr. Solis stated, Danny Garcia is a person you can trust.
