Livestock markets report

July 14, 2012 at 2:14 a.m.

CUERO

July 13

Receipts: 269

Had 56 cows and 8 bulls. The cow and bull market was weaker across the board as has been the case all week. Imports are mostly to blame. The calf market was about $10-$15/cwt lower in a very light test. Heavy rains limited the number coming to market, so it is not fair to make a real assessment of the market, although it has been lower all weak due to drought and adverse conditions in the mid-west corn country.
