Thumbs-up, thumbs-down; it's your choice
Thumbs-up to the person who left a note on my car windshield in the JC Penney's parking lot warning me to be careful because they saw a big snake crawling up my back tire.
Thumbs-up to Gay's "Your Voice" entry in the Advocate July 10 regarding messed up parking spaces downtown and to her entry July 18 regarding waste of money for Bootfest.
Thumbs-up and a tip of the hat to Katherine Henley, librarian and public employee extraordinaire.
Thumbs-up to Victoria Public Works for fixing the man-hole covers on Navarro. Thank you so much.
Thumbs-up to the staff of Victoria in Motion Magazine for making a "No Texting While Driving" pledge.
How about it, other media and businesses, will you step up and do the same? No text is worth your life.
Thumbs-up and thank you to Shirley Carrol for finding my credit card, taking the time to obtain my phone number and calling me to return it.
It was much appreciated. Thank you for your honesty!
Two thumbs up to Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy for affirming his belief that the Biblical view of marriage should be upheld. Now homosexual hate groups everywhere are viciously attacking Chick-fil-A, all because Mr. Cathy expressed his personal views about marriage. The homosexuals demand tolerance, but they absolutely refuse to extend it to Christians who have their own views on marriage. What a hateful bunch of hypocrites. August 1 is Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day. Go there, make a purchase and tell the staff you support and appreciate their company for standing up for marriage between one man and one woman.
Thumbs-down for the stagnant water inside tires, raising mosquitoes in the alley on Navarro.
Thumbs-down to the city of Victoria for not enforcing the noise ordinances.
Thumbs-down to the smoking vehicle polluting our planet.
Thumbs-down for the storage trailers, buildings and propane tanks not anchored down for the next big storm.
