My First Job: Robby Burdge

July 28, 2012 at 2:28 a.m.

Robby Burdge

• Name: Robby Burdge

• Age: 50

• City of residence: Victoria

• Current title: President of klean corp international

• First job: I had paper routes starting in kindergarten, until I was 12 or 13. I had routes on weekday mornings and evenings and stood on street corners selling papers on Saturday nights and Sunday mornings.

• What it taught me: It gave me a sense of making roll call and accountability. As a kid, I didn't always want to get up in the mornings or go to work after school, but it was a cool opportunity. I learned to count money and items and learned the value of forming relationships in business transactions.
