Graduates John Brown, left, and Sam Brychta, right, congratulate their classmates as the first row of graduates take the stage to receive their diplomas at the Victoria West High School graduation Friday night at Memorial Stadium. The class of 2012 is the second to graduate from the school after Memorial High School was separated into East and West high schools.

The crowd of proud loved ones swarmed with excitement as ruby red robes engrossed the field at Memorial Stadium on Friday night.

The Victoria West High School Class of 2012 had arrived.

Principal Debbie Crick thanked the parents, principals and other supporters in the audience for helping the more than 320 grads reach this and the countless other milestones in their lives.

And to the students, she thanked them for their legacy.

"Thank you for that spectacular path you have created for our future Warriors," Crick said.

With all the high school wisdom they'd gained in four years, some West grads offered to make that path a little easier for their predecessors.
