Music student receives diploma

Jennifer Den, a graduate of Calhoun High School and a piano student of Betty Jordan, has earned her high school diploma in music from the National Guild of Piano Teachers.

Throughout her musical studies, Jennifer has been awarded gold and silver medals for her high scores on the state Texas Music Teachers Association theory tests and trophies for her outstanding performances in the Baroque/Sonatina Festival. Also, she received the $100 senior scholarship award from the Victoria Music Teachers Association.

Jennifer is salutatorian of her 2012 graduating class. She will attend the University of Texas in the fall with a major in bio-chemistry and additional studies in music.

She is the daughter of Chuntau and Shu-Lan Den of Port Lavaca.
