Brandi Nicole Horton and Anthony Jason Stafford, both of Edna, were married at 6 p.m. on June 2, 2012 at Scruggs United Methodist Chapel in Edna. Rev. Charles Purnell, of Seguin, officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Penny Rentz of Edna and Craig Horton, of LaPorte. She is the granddaughter of Robert and Peggy Gerjes, of Edna, and the late Howard and Beatrice Gloor, of Edna.

The groom is the son of B. Elaine Neloms, of San Antonio and Edward Stafford, of Edna. He is the grandson of Billy and Annie Young, of San Angelo, and the late Willie and Carrie Stafford, of Edna.

Tamara Morton, of Edna, attended as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lauren Morton, of Edna, Erica Walters, of Kirbyville, Karen Pruitt, Sydnie Barton, Brandi Garcia, Crystal Graham, and Mara Koop, all of Edna. Junior bridesmaids were Acajia Dickerson, Kaitlyn Morton both of Edna, Deanna Powell of San Antonio. Jaylen Stafford, of Edna, attended as flower girl.

Edward Stafford, of Edna, served as best man. Groomsmen were Darwin Powell, Ed Powell, and Dewayne Powell, all of San Antonio, Ernie Johnson, of Victoria, Lee Dean, of Cuero, Ken Connor II, of San Antonio, and J.B. Pruitt, of Edna. Junior groomsmen were Jason Stafford of Edna, Ethan and Chris Powell both of San AntonioHayden Morton, of Edna, served ring bearer. Ushers were Bryce Pruitt and Tristan Pruitt, both of Edna.

A reception was held following the ceremony at the Jackson County Services Building. The couple traveled to the Riverwalk in San Antonio and to South Padre Island, and will reside in Edna.

The bride is currently pursuing an Associate of Applied Science degree with a concentration in Human Resource Management. She is employed by the Jackson County Hospital District as HR Coordinator.

The groom is a 2010 graduate of Victoria College with a two year degree in welding. He is employed by Stafford Welding Services as a welder.
