If you're a small business owner looking to benefit from the Eagle Ford Shale, you may want to check out a forum exploring the opportunities and impact of the oil boom.
Hosted by University of Houston-Victoria Small Business Development Center, Victoria Chamber of Commerce and the UHV School of Business Administration, the forum is Wednesday morning. The forum will look at the local opportunities and impacts of Eagle Ford Shale.
Designed to help small businesses understand the opportunities and impacts of the Eagle Ford Shale, the seminar includes an overview of business and employer services by Golden Crescent Workforce Solutions; economic impacts by Thomas Tunstall, from the University of Texas At San Antonio Institute for Economic Development; and a look at the technology frontiers for small business from Rackspace Hosting and more.
The forum is free and will be in the multipurpose room of University Center Building, 3007 N Ben Wilson St.
Registration opens at 8 a.m., Wednesday, with the program beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending at noon. Seating is limited.
