Victoria should put up new monument

Editor, the Advocate:

While walking through my neighborhood, I had a wonderful idea.

In order to honor the City of Victoria and especially our city council, I think it would be fitting to erect a monument at our city limits to let everyone know how proud we are of our trash cans. A large trash can emblazoned with "Keep Victoria Beautiful" would be so fitting to honor those who came up with the idea of the new trash cans. It is gratifying to walk the neighborhood and see all the trash cans proudly displayed in front of houses. Who knew that Victoria could have such a creative display to beautify our city and encourage others to do the same. Maybe we should create a Facebook page to display pictures of our beautiful trash cans for all the world to see. We could proudly proclaim, "Victoria: The trashiest city in the world."
