DALLAS - Chad Kruse took batting practice after Friday night's game at Riverside Stadium and it paid off.

Kruse had five hits and scored three runs as the Victoria Generals rolled to a 12-3 Texas Collegiate League win over the McKinney Marshals on Saturday at Jesuit High School.

Jude Vidrine hit a three-run home run for the Generals, who won their fourth straight game and improved to 16-8.

The Generals had 15 hits, including two each by Billy Richard, Andrew Stumph, Trace Knoblauch and Trent Wagner.

Richard, Stumph, Wagner and Carter Mangum each doubled.

Covey Morrow improved to 4-1 by pitching seven innings and yielding two runs on five hits with no walks and four strikeouts.

The Generals and Marshals (4-19) return to Jesuit on Sunday for a 2 p.m. game.
