The Victoria Generals in conjunction with the University of Houston-Victoria, will host the Texas Collegiate All-Star Game on Monday, July 9 at Riverside Stadium.
This will be the second time in three years the Generals have hosted the game.
"We were very excited to get the news earlier in the year that we would be hosting the All-Star Game again," Generals general manager Blake Koch said in a news release. "We put on a good show back in 2010 and plan to build on that experience to make this year's event even better through our partnership with UHV."
The teams will be announced by the league on Wednesday.
The South squad will include players from the Generals, Acadiana Cane Cutters and The Woodlands Strykers.
The North team will include players from the East Texas Pump Jacks, Brazos Valley Bombers, Alexandria Aces and McKinney Marshals.
Chris Clemons of the Generals will coach the South squad, and Ben Taylor of the Pump Jacks will coach the North team.
The league will hold a Home Run Derby prior to the game. One representative from each team will take part in the contest.
A fan will have a chance to win $10,000 during the Home Run Derby, if their ticket is selected and their player hits a home run through a hole directly over the Victoria Nissan sign in left field.
The game will be broadcast live online by PSB Live and will be broadcast nationally on a tape-delayed basis three times by Fox College Sports Network.
