Kindred Hospital recognized as providing quality respiratory care

Kindred Hospital Victoria, 506 E. San Antonio St., has been recognized by the American Association for Respiratory are for being a quality respiratory care provider under a new program aimed at making sure patients in long-term acute care facilities have access to respiratory care services provided by quality respiratory therapists.

The AARC started the Quality Respiratory Care Recognition program in 2003 to help consumers make informed choices about their health care.

The QRCR program enrolled hospitals that agreed to ensure patient safety by adhering to a strict set of criteria governing their respiratory care services. To qualify for the recognition, Kindred Hospital met 12 separate conditions.
