Madison Lake to compete in state rodeo finals

Madison Lake of Victoria, has qualified to compete in the state finals of the National Junior High  Rodeo competition in Gonzales in May. Over the past six months she has competed in several events in 10 rodeos. Madison finished  seventh from a field of 30 riders in the pole bending competition, with only the top 10 in each event qualify for the state  finals. She is the only qualifier  from Victoria and trains at Grace Ranch, owned by Bill and Sandy  Sciba. Madison is a seventh grader at Howell Middle School and was recently inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. She  is the daughter of Bruce and Mandy Lake, of Victoria.
