One man was taken to a hospital after a two-vehicle accident Wednesday evening.

A Ford Taurus, driven by Isella Villegas, was eastbound on Houston Highway when the driver tried to turn left onto John Stockbauer Drive and collided with a 2009 Nissan Sentra, driven by Norma Gomez, at about 7:45 p.m., said Victoria Police Officer B. Cerny.

The Victoria Police Department and the Victoria Fire Department responded to the call.

Robert Vasquez, the passenger in the Sentra, was transported to Citizens Medical Center, complaining of knee pain. He was discharged.

No citations were issued, Cerny said.
