Oh my God! I am appalled and disgusted with the disrespect the mayor and the Keep Cuero Beautiful Committee has shown for the Roy P. Benavidez memorial.

Don't these people know that he was the recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor from our much-loved President Reagan in 1981? The whole park should have been named after him.

My advice to the KCB: You want Cuero to be beautiful? Start on the west side of town.

At a time when most of the residents of Victoria are trying to make ends meet, could the City Council OK the idea of a tax incentive for us? Look at all the excess taxes we pay. God help us, and bless Gabriel Soliz.
