Generals add two players from Southland Conference

The Victoria Generals have added a pair of players from the Southland Conference.

Jude Vidrine, a redshirt sophomore from Lamar, and Blake Marchal, a junior from Central Arkansas, will join the Generals for the upcoming Texas Collegiate League season.

Vidrine, from Nederland, started 36 games last season and hit .222 with two home runs, six doubles and 19 RBIs.

Marchal, from La Porte, transferred to Central Arkansas after playing at Alvin Community College where he hit .418 with one home run, four triples, seven doubles and 26 RBIs.

The infielder will was named to the Region XIV South All-Conference Team as a freshman and sophomore.

The Generals open the season June 1 at The Woodlands, and will play their home opener June 3 against Acadiana, La.
