No one was injured in a rollover wreck in the 6600 block of U.S. Highway 77, around 6:40 p.m. Friday. The driver of the black Ford Explorer was towing the red Ranger pickup when one of the vehicles blew a tire causing the rollover, officials said.

No one was injured in a one-vehicle rollover in the 6600 block of U.S. Highway 77, around 6:40 p.m. Friday.

Jose Garcia, 23, of Brownsville, was driving a black Ford Explorer towing a red Ford Ranger pickup when the wreck occurred, said Department of Public Safety Trooper Wayne Cipriani.

The front left tire of the vehicle being towed appeared to be out, Cipriani said, which probably caused the driver to lose control of his vehicle.

The vehicles skidded off the highway and rolled over, Cipriani said.

"It is pretty open and shut," Cipriani said. "There was only one driver involved and no injuries."

The highway was not closed as the wreck was investigated.
