The Victoria West High School Band of Warriors will take to the Chicago streets at next week's St. Patrick's Day Parade.
About 80 students will hop on a bus Thursday to travel to Chi-Town, where they'll see all the city's staples.
The band plans to visit the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Museum of Science and Industry, the Art Institute, Navy Pier, Hancock Observatory, and watch the Blue Man Group.
"Plus, eating Chicago pizza," Band Director Adam Ardner said.
Students will perform an arrangement of the traditional Irish tune, "Danny Boy," at the downtown parade.
The band takes a major trip every four years, Ardner said, and students are more than excited to get on the road.
"They bought a little St. Patrick's day, Irish-themed chalkboard with how many days until we leave," Ardner said. "They're definitely itching."
Students will return to Victoria on March 20.
