A compact vehicle's front end was damaged when it collided with a pickup at the intersection of Ben Jordan and Wildwood streets.

Three women were injured in a two-car collision at the intersection of Ben Jordan and Wildwood streets at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Jerri Hudson, 38, of Victoria, who was driving a green Pontiac, attempted to make a left turn onto Wildwood Street from the inside south bound lane of North Ben Jordan Street, said Victoria Patrol Officer Jason Stone.

Hudson's vehicle was struck by a silver Sierra pickup driven by Roxane Rollinson, 44, of Inez. She was travelling north in the outside lane of North Ben Jordan Street, Stone said.

Hudson and her passengers Kelley Salinas, 13, and Meghann Gill, 13, were taken to Citizens Medical Center. Kelley and Meghann were treated and released by 8:15 p.m., said a hospital spokeswoman, but Hudson was still being examined.

Rollinson was examined by emergency service personnel, but declined to be taken to the hospital.

No citation was issued, but Stone said the investigation will show Hudson was at fault for failing to yield to oncoming traffic.
