Army jazz band to play in Cuero Friday

The U.S. Army Ambassadors of Jazz will present a free public performance at 7 p.m. Friday in the Cuero Municipal Park.
The Jazz Ambassadors play a variety of musical styles, including big band swing, Latin music, contemporary jazz, popular tunes, standards and patriotic selections, according to a news release.
The 19-member ensemble, formed in 1969, has performed in all 50 states, as well as Canada, Mexico, Japan, India and throughout Europe.
No tickets are required for the free concert, but lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged.
The performance is sponsored by Cuero High School.
