Matagorda Episcopal Health Outreach Program will hold its annual fundraiser on March 23 at the Bay City Civic Center.
Celebrating 15 years of service in the county, the fundraiser promises to bring good food and entertainment.
“We are encouraging everyone to come and wear your dancing shoes, or boots,” said Celeste Harrison, chief operating officer for MEHOP.
“This is going to be a great celebration,” she added.
Entertainment will be provided by Lady Audrey and the Superior and, a local band from Wharton.
Money raised will go toward MEHOP operations.
Harrison said she wants people in the community to know they offer excellent care.
“We have license professionals, case managers, dentists, doctors, we probably do more than anyone in the community, with the exception of the hospital,” she said.
Harrison said there is a perception that they only serve the undeserved. She wants everyone to know they assist anyone in the community.
“We have fabulous doctors and nurses,” she said.
The fundraiser will include a silent auction and live auctions.
Harrison said she is looking forward to the live auction for Fat Grass and Spoonbills, both restaurants will cook for the highest bidder.
The fundraiser has been an annual event for the last seven years. Each year with a different theme.
Corporate sponsorship and individual seating available.
