Sharon Kleinecke knows the way to a musician's heart is through his stomach.

The co-owner of Schroeder Hall prepares home-cooked meals for entertainers whether they like her famous King Ranch Casserole or Chicken Spaghetti.

Returning artists even put in their requests.

Maybe that is why the hall attracts so many quality musical acts that the Advocate's readers voted it the best live music venue in the Crossroads.

The dance hall features a variety of artist from John Conlee, The Moods, Max Stalling and the Tejas Brothers.

"We have all different types of music," Kleinecke said.
