A woman riding a mountain bike was struck and injured by a pickup late Wednesday.

Memorie Hoffman, 20, of Victoria, was riding her mountain bike south in the 2800 block of Delmar Street when she turned into the path of Margaret Reyna, 59, of Victoria, who was driving in the same direction in a white Chevrolet pickup, said Victoria patrol officer Robert Swanson.

Witnesses told police they saw the pickup collide with Hoffman's mountain bike at 10:18 p.m.

Hoffman was taken to Citizens Medical Center in what was described as a confused state and showing signs of memory loss, Swanson said. She suffered several broken bones.

Swanson said Hoffman would be found at fault in the wreck.
