While Brown Bag Saloon hails itself as a cocktail lounge, its cozy atmosphere and friendly attitude make it Victoria's best beer joint.

Owner Rick Caputo, who lived in New York and Colorado before calling Victoria home, says it's the people who make Brown Bag Saloon what it is.

"It's the only Cheers bar in Victoria," he said.

In addition to their selection of cold brew, Caputo said the food, billiard tables, jukebox and reasonable prices are integral to the mix.

"It's just a friendly place," he said. "We have a lot of regulars, and that's what makes the place - people feel comfortable here."

The saloon is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily.
