Town Talk: Teen earns Eagle Scout Award

Josiah Schneider, 15, of Victoria, has earned the Eagle Scout Award. This is the highest advancement award the Boy Scouts of America offers to scouts. Josiah has earned 29 merit badges. He did his Eagle Scout project at the Hiller House to benefit Keep Victoria Beautiful. He and other Scouts removed siding, insulated and replaced siding on the back wall. They also paneled the attic with time period appropriate paneling.
Josiah has served as den chief, patrol leader, senior patrol leader, troop guide and quartermaster. He has received multiple awards, including Arrow of Light, World Conservation, National Youth Leadership Training and 50 Miler. Josiah is also a member of the Order of the Arrow. He is a member of LifePointe Fellowship, active in Ju-Jutsu and A.D.D. Drama Club. Josiah is also a homeschooled high school sophomore.
After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in film acting. He is the son of Carl and Angi Schneider, of Victoria. Carl Schneider is also an Eagle Scout. Josiah is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schneider, of Corpus Christi, and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Andrews, of Sinton, and the late Donald Robbins, of Corpus Christi.
