Jimmy Taylor, 41, of Victoria, failed to yield the right of way as he exited a private driveway in the 1300 block of East Rio Grande Street about 6:42 p.m. driving a white Toyota Prius, said Sr. Patrol Officer John Swenson.

The Toyota struck a Chevrolet HHR driven by Kayla Firova, 19, of Refugio, causing it to spin out and strike a blue Nissan Quest driven by Rebecca Magallan, 51, of Victoria, legally stopped at a traffic light.

Magallan refused treatment, but Alyssa Pineda, 20, a passenger in the Chevrolet, was transported to Citizens Medical Center where a hospital spokeswoman said she was treated and released.

No citations will be issued, but Taylor was found at fault for failure to yield the right of way, Swenson said.
