Bethany Hamilton was 13 years old when she lost her arm in a shark attack while surfing Kauai's North Shore.

Now 22, the Hawaiian native and professional surfer, travels the country speaking about her faith in Christ, and how she continued to pursue her dreams of becoming a professional surfer, even after losing an arm.

Hamilton's autobiography, "Soul Surfer: A True Story of Faith, Family, and Fighting to Get Back on the Board," was released in 2004, and a feature film about her surfing journey, "Soul Surfer," was released in 2011.

Presented by the Golden Crescent Habitat for Humanity, "A Day with Bethany Hamilton" will feature two speaking events, a luncheon at the Victoria Country Club, at noon Thursday, June 14, and an evening speaking engagement at 7 p.m. at Faith Family Church.

Hamilton and her mother Cheri Hamilton will speak and answer questions, sign autographs, and meet attendees, while sharing the inspiring true story of overcoming all odds to becoming a champion surfer.

Tickets are available through itickets.com and range in price from $15 to $50 with group discount tickets available. Individual sponsorships of $500 include two luncheon tickets, reserved seating, early admittance and autograph opportunities, or two evening VIP tickets with a meet and greet reception, hors d'oeuvres, and photographs with Hamilton.

Raffle tickets are $5 and can be purchased at Habitat for Humanity, for a chance to win a Bethany Hamilton autographed surfboard.
