One man was injured when a semi-truck rolled over in San Patricio County on Tuesday.
Samuel Solis, 37, of Humble, saw two deer in the roadway as he drove a semi-truck south on U.S. Highway 77, a mile and a half south of Refugio County about 6 a.m., said trooper Brian Fishbeck.
Solis swerved to avoid striking the deer and drove off the pavement. He over-corrected and the truck rolled, blocking both southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 77, Fishbeck said.
Solis was transported to Refugio County Memorial Hospital for a laceration on the bridge of his nose and cuts to his face from glass, Fishbeck said. A hospital spokeswoman said he was treated and released.
No citations were issued, but the wreck remains under investigation, the trooper said.
