Four children escaped injury when two cars collided Tuesday morning at the intersection of Red River Street and Ben Wilson Street.
About 7:45 a.m., the driver of a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu traveling south on Ben Wilson Street ran a red light at the intersection and struck a 2009 Mazda 6 traveling west on Red River Street.
A boy and a girl - 9-year-old twins - in the Chevrolet, were checked out at the scene by Victoria Fire Department Emergency Medical Services personnel, and a 5-year-old boy and a 9-month-old girl who were in the Mazda were taken by private vehicle to Citizens Medical Center.
No citations were issued, said Sgt. Eline Moya, Victoria Police Department public information officer.
