  • Raven..." Planned parenthood? Ge me a break."

Just what's wrong with Planned Parenthood? You must think the ONLY thing they do is abortions. She COULD have gotten birth control information AND birth control pills. It strikes me that if a person is in a bad situation -- homeless, no job, no money, no hope -- the very LAST thing that person should do is make it worse by getting pregnant AGAIN. Who is going to feed and clothe these babies? I'd bet against the thug who got her pregnant. It'll probably be the taxpayers who will have to pony up the funds for these kids. When she gave birth the second time would have been an excellent time to have had her tubes tied.

Yeah you are right I am not in her shoes now, but I was in a similar situation... homeless, unstable home life, but I had enough sense to know that having a baby would only make matters worse. I would NEVER tell anyone to have an abortion, but if you are out there doing grown folk things then at least be responsible about it! I can understand the 1st pregnancy, and the program was there for her, but why not learn from the first situation, that is all I am saying.

Me as a tax payer understand why we have government funded programs, as well as non-profits. It is to give those in need a boost to help them. But also as a tax payer I get frustrated when those same individuals continue to just take advantage of the system.

Unfortunately your not in the girl situation otherwise you would know what's it like to walk in her shoes. Like she said young, homeless, no where to turn to, people like you ready to put her down, rub her face in the mistakes of life. So she goes back to the same coward so she has a place to go. Planned parenthood? Ge me a break. Next you will say get an abortion. Shed innocent life because of your beliefs.
And sunshine, you answered your own question. She was not a citizen of this country.

  • What happened with Megan Baylis who came from South Africa? She was pregnant; had no job, no money and lived in a tent with her dad for awhile. I believe she lived in the Ezzell area. She did give birth to a baby girl but had to return to Africa because she was here on a VISA.

  • This does seem like a great program, but unfortunately some of these young girls will begin to abuse the system and those that really need the help will be left with nothing. This young girl in the story did not seem to learn anything valuable from her first situation, considering she had a second child, I am assuming from the same abussive father of the first child. Last time I checked planned parenthood still offered free birth control for those in need.
