A woman was taken to a Victoria hospital Thursday night after a two-car wreck at the intersection of Ben Wilson Street and Sam Houston Drive.

A green Honda CRV, driven by Jade Maughan, was traveling north on Ben Wilson Street at 10:05 p.m., said Victoria Officer Brandon Allen.

Maughan, of Victoria, ran the red light while trying to make a left turn onto Sam Houston Drive, the officer said.

A white Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by Eric Ramsey, of Edna, which was heading south on Sam Houston Drive, hit the back of her car, Allen said.

Maughan and her passenger, 12-year-old Natalyn Wheeler, of Victoria, were uninjured.

Ramsey's passenger, Ariel Reynolds, of Edna, was transported to DeTar Hospital North as a precaution because she is pregnant. No citations were issued, the officer said.
