A Ford Explorer lost control and flipped over at the corner of Delmar Drive and E. North Street on Sunday at 9 p.m.

Victoria police officers are investigating a rollover wreck that occurred Sunday at 9 p.m. at the corner of Delmar Drive and East North Street.

Senior Patrol Officer Adam Garcia said the 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Track was traveling northbound on Delmar Drive, when the vehicle lost control and flipped. The vehicle traveled about 50 yards through a field, and landed on right side of East North Street.

The driver of the vehicle took off on foot. His identity is unknown, and no arrests were made, Garcia said.

Garcia said the vehicle is registered in Victoria, and the owner of the truck was unaware the car was missing.

Alan's Wrecker Service cleared the vehicle from the scene about 9:38 p.m.
