One Crossroads company is doing its part for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

SERVPRO of Victoria on Monday sent three members from the Victoria franchise to New Jersey, said Desirae Orosco, a service consultant and marketing representative with the company. About seven representatives from the SERVPRO's Sugar Land franchise also went.

The team, which will remain there for at least a month and a half, will take calls from various insurance companies, send service consultants to homes and businesses and work to get things back in working order.

SERVPRO is a water and fire restoration company that also handles mitigation, Orosco said. While the company is known for its work with major disasters, she said it also works on a local level, taking care of fire and water damage, cleaning carpets and air ducts and more.

The company's Victoria office is at 5311 Country Club Drive. For more information, call 361-573-6000.
