Duncan-Williams, Inc. has a new home in Cuero.
The full service broker-dealer recently opened a branch at 118 E. Main St.
The addition is in keeping with the firm's company-wide expansion, according to a Duncan-Williams news release.
Duncan F. Williams, the company's president, said he was excited to expand throughout the Southwest.
"We know that the Texas market will play an integral role in helping us achieve our long-term strategic growth initiative," he said.
David A. Scott, vice president of the firm's Private Client Group, is responsible for the Cuero office.
A certified public accountant, he holds the Personal Financial Specialist designation, Series 7 and Series 66 licenses with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and licenses in Texas and Tennessee for life and health insurance. He also serves on a panel as a "money doctor" on 360financialliteracy.com, a website sponsored by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Prior to joining Duncan-Williams, Inc., Scott spent 17 years as managing partner of Scott & Pohlman, P.C., the CPA firm he founded in 1988.
He is married to Lori Reuss Scott, daughter of the late Dr. Ted Reuss and niece of lifelong Cuero resident Joe Reuss.
Also joining the firm is Becky Koranek, a lifelong Cuero resident with 13 years of experience in the financial services industry. She holds Series 6 and Series 63 licenses with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and licenses in Texas for life and health insurance.
