The Victoria Chamber of Commerce Medical Committee will host its annual Health-A-Rama on Saturday at Victoria Mall.
To help people become aware of health services available in Victoria, the committee along with the Victoria Chamber of Commerce will put on the event. Health professionals, and health businesses will be out in full force, said Kathleen Card, chair of the event. She hopes this event will make people aware that services exist within Victoria.
"Even though we are not a big city, we have health services like a big city," said Card. "We want people to know we are on top of things when it comes to health care."
Card said that more than 40 health organizations will be at the mall informing people of services ranging from hospice to home care.
Randy Vivian, president and CEO of the chamber of commerce, said he wants the residents of Victoria to know that they don't have to travel out of the area to receive health care.
"We want our citizens to know that they can get their health needs taken care of here," Vivian said. "We have good, quality doctors that provide good, quality care."
