Postal Service announces job openings
Nov. 9, 2012 at 5:09 a.m.
The U.S. Postal Service is now accepting applications for transitional and postal support jobs for facilities around the state.
The influx of retiring postal employees this year has left openings in the postal service's workforce, according to a news release from the postal service.
The job positions are being posted on usps.com/employment under the "search jobs and apply online section."
Positions are being posted weekly; anyone wishing to apply must do so in a five-day window. It is suggested that applicants check the web page consistently to keep up with the position openings.
Pay for these non-career positions ranges from $12.38 to $22.15 per hour. The pay for temporary holiday positions will be $11 per hour. None of the positions will provide benefits, but they have the possibility to lead to permanent USPS employment.
