Former Victoria resident Adam Gonzales was stabbed to death Friday in Austin.
Gonzales, 33, was found in the parking lot of the Lanier Village Shopping Center, 8106 N. Lamar Blvd. about 9:20 p.m. Friday. He was pronounced dead at the scene, said Sgt. Scott Ehlert, of the Austin Police Department Homicide Unit.
Gonzales, who lived in an apartment nearby, died from multiple stab wounds, according to an autopsy conducted by the Travis County Medical Examiners Office, Ehlert said.
Witnesses told police that Gonzales was in a confrontation with a man and a woman over personal property when the stabbing occurred.
The investigation into the death is ongoing, said Ehlert.
