BOWLING: Stacy masters lane for high score

Mike Stacy was zeroed in during Sundowner League play to earn the high scoring honors for the week.

Stacy rolled 28 strikes without an open frame in the three games as he overwhelmed the competition with games of 239, 276, and 247 for a masterful 762 series.

He also rolled a 665 set in another league.

Steve Dickinson posted the second high total with an excellent 269 high game contributing towards a 716 series.

Scott Snow had a great week on the lanes with sets of 266-696 and 688 in two leagues.

Other scores of note for the men were T.J. Mooney (677/656), Steve Zeplin (674), Mike Wortham (660), David Dye (248-659), Mark McDonald (253-656), John Martinez (656), Chris Kurtz (656), Larry Mikulec (652), Jose Rodriguez (650), Darren Blohm (255-649), Tom Crowe (259), Travis Arnold (257), Abel Garcia (257), Bobby Banda (256), Justin Glass (256), Gabe Verduzco (255), and Eddie Gonzales (248).

Lori Heil also used the Sundowner League to crash the pins for the women's high score. She rolled games of 212, 214, and 225 for a very nice 651 series.

Erin Faltysek powered the pins for an outstanding 277 high game on her way to a 641 set,

Christine Speer also broke the 600 mark with a 227-601.

Other nice scores for the women were Olivia Jackson (222-588) and Amy Moore (235).

Vera Cruz Bowlers for the week were Mike Stacy 762 and Lori Heill 723, both from the Sundowner League.
