I am a stay-at-home mom with a 15-month-old son. My son's highlight of every other Wednesday is watching the recycle truck go up and down our road, emptying recycle bins. Even though he is only 15 months old, I still discuss during the pickup how the recyclables are used to make "new things." Today we were late getting our bin to the road and missed our side getting picked up. My son and I walked down the road to see if we could watch someone else's bin being emptied. However, all my son got was a skinned knee. We finally saw the recycle truck with City of Victoria employees Curtis Westbrook and Fidel Cuellar. They were nice enough to make the extra effort to give my son his "highlight of the day." Mr. Westbrook pulled my recycle bin across the street so Mr. Cuellar could empty it, and then Mr. Westbrook pulled it back to my driveway, even after I told him I could get it. Then they both waved goodbye to my son. I was very impressed with these men's kindness and professionalism. Thank you Mr. Westbrook and Mr. Cuellar for giving my son his highlight and excitement!
