Courtney Dyan Foster and Travis Michael Shamburger, both of Plano, were married at 6:30 p.m. on May 19, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Plano. Rev. James Shamburger, of Victoria, father of the groom, officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hansen, of Topeka, Kansas, and Mr. Randy Foster and Debbie Nutter, of Lincoln, Nebraska.
The groom is the son of Rev. and Mrs. James Shamburger, of Victoria. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Blalock, of Tyler, and the late Dr. and Mrs. W.M. Shamburger, of Tyler.
Erin Schroeder, of Mission, Kansas, attended as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelly Rogers, of Elk River, MN, sister of the bride, Crissy Foster, of Princeton, MN, sister of the bride, and KC Mc Spadden, of Austin, sister of the groom. Eden McSpadden, of Austin, niece of the groom, and Sophie Rogers, of Elk River, MN, niece of the bride, attended as flower girls.
Austin Shamburger, of Plano, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Brian Schmitt, of Rosenberg, Mace McClatchy, of Plano, and Nathan Adair, of London, England, cousin of the groom. Drew McSpadden, of Austin, nephew of the groom, and Ben Rogers, of Elk River, MN, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearers.
Ushers were Marshall McSpadden, of Austin, and Jeff Stewart, of Irving.
A reception was held following the ceremony at event1013 in downtown Plano. The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and reside in Plano.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Jefferson West High School in Meriden, KS and Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance. She received her Masters of Accountancy degree from Ohio State University. Courtney is a CPA and works as the Accounting Manager for Greatwide Logistics, LLC in Dallas.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Victoria High School and received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Masters of Accountancy degrees from Baylor University in Waco. Travis is a CPA and works as a Senior Manager with KPMG, LLP in Dallas.
