"Downtown Victoria has so much to offer and the Black Friday Open House is a chance to showcase that," Sara Rodriguez, executive director of Victoria Main Street Program, said in a Main Street news release. "Downtown businesses are making plans to welcome Black Friday shoppers."
Retail outlets offering shopping specials include The Nave Museum's gift shop, the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts's Holiday Artisan Market, Chesnick Furniture, Days Gone Bye! and Lauren Bade.
The Texas Zoo will also offer a reduced $2 entry fee from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Restaurants offering special menus and pricing include The PumpHouse, Beijing Garden, Subway and Huvar's Artisan Market.
Open house attendees can also enter to win prizes. To participate, they will search for hidden images at participating downtown businesses and email those images to a special address.
Rodriguez said the goal is to offer a chance for shoppers to wind down from the hectic pace of Black Friday with a relaxing visit to Downtown Victoria.
"In August, the Victoria Main Street Program organized a pub crawl which was well attended and provided a spark to Downtown Victoria," said Larry Clark, president of Victoria Main Street Program. "We hope the Black Friday Open House will be as big a success downtown."
