Wrecked

VICTORIA - A one-vehicle wreck Tuesday on U.S. Highway 87 South led to one woman being transported to DeTar Hospital Navarro with minor injuries. Cindy Marie Fenner, 53, was traveling West on Farm-to-Market Road 1090 when she lost control of an Oldsmobile Intrigue and drove across all four lanes of the highway going at least 70 mph and landed in a field, officials said. She was treated and released, said a hospital spokeswoman.

VICTORIA - An 18-wheeler caught fire at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday on Farm-to-Market Road 237 at Old Yorktown Cemetery Road, officials said. No one was injured, but FM 237 was closed for a few hours while firefighters battled the flames.

Arrested

VICTORIA - John Gabriel Briseno, 25, of Victoria, by deputies Monday on a warrant charging him with violation of probation in an assault causing bodily injury to a family member case.

VICTORIA - Delenna Joy Ramirez, 41, of Victoria, by officers Saturday on a warrant charging her with theft with two or more previous convictions.
