Forecasts say the drought that has gripped the Crossroads, along with much of Texas, will continue into February.
Waylon Collins, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, said Victoria's rainfall for the month of November was .12 of an inch, well below the average 3.14 inches received in November.
Victoria has only received 26.67 inches for the year. While it's possible for thunderstorms to roll in and bring the yearly total closer to the average 38.81 inches, forecasters are predicting the drought will continue through February.
"We're calling for the drought conditions to persist," Collins said.
