Edna police are investigating a stabbing that sent a man to the hospital Wednesday night.
At 11:36 p.m., police went to a home in the 1300 block of Green Street after the report of a fight involving weapons, according to a news release from Edna Police Chief Clinton Wooldridge.
Witnesses told police that after a group of people arrived at the home, a fight erupted and 26-year-old Jorge Espino suffered a knife wound to his neck, according to the release.
Espino was taken to Jackson County Hospital by private vehicle, then later transported by ambulance to Citizens Medical Center in Victoria.
As of 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Espino was in stable condition in a private room, said a hospital spokeswoman.
The case continues to be investigated. No arrests have been made, Wooldridge said.
