Trinity Lutheran Women have quarterly meeting

Trinity Lutheran Women met recently for its quarterly meeting with a program given by Michelle Schlinke. Schlinke serves on the state board of the WELCA and is a Synodical assisting minister. She spoke on "God Looks Outside the Line," diversity and characteristics being a gift from God and visual perspectives she shared examples from the Bible.

After the program and devotion, refreshments were served by the Ruth Circle. President Betty Dearman presided overed the business meeting that was held after refreshments.

Twenty-eight quilts have been finished for the 2013 Lutheran World Relief and supplies were collected for 125 school bags for 2013.

The women made 13 casseroles for United Campus Ministry and 14 for Plates of Love. Dozens of cookies were sent to UCM. Year-to-date, there have been 159 Plates of Love delivered.

On Oct. 11, the group will provide entertainment and cake for residents at Twin Pines Nursing and Rehab.

This quarter there were 103 hospital visits made, 314 nursing home, assisted living, shut in visit, 73 care cards sent, 22 care phone calls and 49 cards, visits, contact with visitors.
